Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the non-profit industry, located in Washington, District of Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. The role involves a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to use various accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable activities including data entry and generating invoices

• Perform account reconciliation tasks for suppliers, customers, and financial institutions

• Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports and summaries

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting data

• Use QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to maintain financial records and prepare reports

• Handle billing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Assist in the management of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving related inquiries

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of an Accounting Clerk or a similar position.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.

• Must possess strong skills in Data Entry.

• Experience in Invoice Processing is required.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a necessity.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks is required.

• Knowledge and experience in SAP is a must.

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced, non-profit environment is necessary.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Must possess excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• The candidate should have a proactive approach to work and the ability to work independently.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is crucial.
