ManpowerGroup Jr. Network Security Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Our client is seeking a Jr. Network Security Engineer to join their team. This is a W2 contract and will be a hybrid schedule in Washington DC (1x a week onsite). This will also require the ability to obtain a public trust.

Job Title: Jr. Network Security Engineer

Location: Washington DC

Pay Range: $40-$45/hr

What’s the Job?

As a Junior Network Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the security and integrity of the organization’s network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on managing network security within an multi-tenanted enterprise environment. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with various technical teams and report to a Senior Network Architect within the CISO department. Your work will span across multiple security technologies to include but not limited to: AWS, Akamai, Checkpoint, GCP, Palo Alto, and zScaler.

Responsibilities

  1. Network Security Management:

Implement and Manage Security Measures: Deploy and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access control (NAC) mechanisms.

Network Vulnerability Assessment: Regularly assess network vulnerabilities, identify security gaps, and recommend remediation strategies.

Incident Response: Respond to security incidents promptly, investigate.
