We are recruiting for a Field Applications Scientist (FAS) to join our Sequencing team, based in Poland. As a FAS you will provide scientific expertise, application support and training to customers with a focus on our Sanger Sequencing and Next Generation Sequencing products - acting as a trusted advisor to our customers and contributing to the overall success of the business!

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide in-house and on-site scientific application support & training support on brand products

  • Perform product demonstrations at customer or company site.

  • Solving customer issues effectively through in-depth troubleshooting.

  • Provide technical and application assistance in response to customer inquiries.

  • Support the Service & Support organization in the achievement of the regional training and service contract sales target through customer interaction and relation.

  • Support sales in the achievement of the regional sales target by delivering product line specific pre- and post-sales related customer support activities.

How will you get here:

Education

  • MSc and/or PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related scientific field

Experience

  • Experience in the field of Sanger Sequencing and/or NGS is required - this role however will be a 50-50 split between both technologies, CE and NGS.

  • Several years of laboratory experience to include expertise in techniques, related to Molecular Biology products

  • Proven track record of troubleshooting technical problems and presenting technical materials.

  • Customer minded individual with the emotional intelligence to understand customer concerns and needs.

  • Self-directed, persistent, and goal-oriented with strong communication skills - fluency in Polish and English is required.

  • Able to work effectively with a diverse population of internal and external contacts.

Location

  • This is a field-based role located in Poland and will involve regular weekly travel (3-4 days per week), including occasional overnight stays, to meet with your customers in your territory and help team members, if needed within Central Europe. When not travelling, you will be working from home.
