Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come.
Job Summary:
Bechtel’s internship program was created to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience. Many new university graduate hires have begun their careers at Bechtel as a summer intern.

Major Responsibilities:
Electrical Engineering interns may be responsible for:
Preparing single-line, metering and relaying, schematics, and protection logic drawings.
Performing electrical system, equipment sizing, and auxiliary system calculations.
Sizing, selecting, and specifying transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, and distribution panels.
Sizing, selecting and specifying power, control, and instrumentation cables.
Sizing, selecting and specifying direct-current/uninterruptible power supplies and emergency generator systems.
Performing raceway, grounding, lighting, and cathodic protection drawings.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Science degree program in Electrical Engineering at an accredited college or university
Completed at least one year of studies in one of the above fields
Active student status
Native level Polish language skills
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
Excellent written and oral communication skills
