We are recruiting for a Division Controller in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be based in North Birmingham OR Huntsville, Alabama and will oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing plants. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and making strategic decisions that will enhance the profitability of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations of the manufacturing plants, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

• Work closely with General Managers to mentor and guide them in financial matters.

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other Accounting Software Systems to streamline financial operations.

• Oversee all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and compliance with GAAP Accounting standards.

• Prepare annual budgets and operational budgets, and manage manufacturing costs effectively.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Review internal control processes regularly and make improvements as needed.

• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

• Manage the budget process, including the preparation of forecasts and budgets.

• Work closely with operations management to drive efficiencies and improve profitability.

Requirements • Must possess at least 7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is crucial.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.

• Experience in Budget Processes, Compliance, and Finance is essential.

• Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Costs are required.

• Must have experience in working with Manufacturing Equipment.

• Experience in Managing Budgets, Operational Budgets, and preparing Annual Budgets is essential.

• Familiarity with GAAP Accounting and Internal Control Review is necessary.

• Proficiency in Annual Forecasts and Budgeting - Forecasting is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting operations, Operations, and Operations management are needed.

• Experience in Job Cost is necessary.
