Job Summary: The Electronics Test Engineer has responsibility for development of electronic hardware used in validation of automotive applications. The Test Engineer reviews, develops solutions of electronic hardware and provides support in the debugging of systems. This individual works cross functionally with management, engineers and technicians. He/she also actively and constructively participates on improvement teams and in problem solving. Your Role: Design, build and maintain next generation validation test systems for wireless device, USB device charging and USB hubs. Provide bench test setups for product design engineering. Maintain and support current validation test systems/equipment. Prepare test racks for all upcoming Electronics-M validations. Assist test technicians with test setups as required. Maintain inventory of test system repair/replacement parts. Your Background Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 1 year of relevant industry Preferred Qualifications Experience testing electronic modules for use in automotive or heavy duty environments. Proficient in the application and use of electrical and electronic lab test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Differential Voltage probes, Current Transformers, multimeters, thermocouples, etc. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve product and/or test issues. Familiarity with automotive communications such as Controller Area Network (CAN), and CANoe/CANalyzer, and LIN. Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to organize and summarize data and plans in presentable formats: Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, other. high level of initiative and a proactive nature.
