About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Ground Combat Support R&S Directorate. Responsibilities Coordinate the activities of a multi-functional team to support new acquisition, sustainment, and repair program requirements. Assign work, provide technical advice and guidance, review work, evaluate quality and provide training to team members. Represent the team with management, higher headquarters, Department of the Army and other customers through meetings, briefings and correspondence. Facilitate team meetings, set team goals and objectives, develop strategies, evaluate customer needs, reengineer team processes, evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance, develop plans to improve team performance and meet customer needs. Evaluates Logistic status/readiness of assigned system(s) and takes corrective action for existing or foreseen problems. Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing logistical support and guidance on maintenance and supply procedures; 2) resolving field problems through technical research or investigations of materiel deficiencies and malfunctions; 3) utilizing logistics databases (such as LMP/FEDLOG/ Powerlog-J) to determine supply & maintenance trends; and 4) coordinating the efforts of functional specialists in support of organizational goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Maintenance Planning and Management Product Support Management Supply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. This position has a Data Analytics requirement. All requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification must be met within 12 months of being placed on the position. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
