Office of Field Policy and Management Supervisory Management Analyst in United States

Summary This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Field Policy and Management. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will: Assign, direct and review the work of subordinate employees; plans schedules and coordinates work operations of the Division; resolves problems related to the work of the Division; develops the subordinate staff s performance standards; approves/disapproves employee requests for leave and rates performance; recommends awards and takes disciplinary action when necessary. In the absence of the Director, serve as the acting official in managing region wide functions of the office, including office administers, operational and resource functions; supervises office staff; and signs official correspondence. Assist the RA/Deputy Administrator in ensuring the operational functions of the office are carried out in an efficient and effective manner, and that HUD programs are administered in a manner so as to (a) provide a coordinated approach to customer needs; (b) ensure that program delivery is effectively integrated, coordinated and leveraged to the maximum benefit of the Department; and (c) ensure that cross- program delivery is executed to meet Department goals and commitments. Requirements Conditions of Employment The official duty station for this position will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Memphis, Tennessee, Saint Louis, Missouri, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal. Key Requirements: Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. A one year probationary period may be required. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Please refer to "Additional Information Section for additional Conditions of Employment." Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Analyzing and evaluating issues related to office operations, policies and procedures; AND -Contributing to the development of policies; AND -Developing reports for management officials that outline findings and solutions or recommendations for improvements; AND -Leading/coordinating projects or teams AND/OR building relationships in designated communities with organizations, federal, state, or local agencies (e.g., government and advocacy groups). Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
