Infrastructure Core Services teams are focused on delivering compute, network, data, secrets management and workload orchestration in the cloud. We partner with product engineering teams to build performant, scalable, and secure services that are responsible for transactions, payments, deposits, transfers, auth, and platform integrations. We partner with our infrastructure platform teams to deliver pipelines, identity, observability, tooling and security within the platform.

This position will be filled to work REMOTELY anywhere in the U.S. or at any Jack Henry office location.

The target salary range for this position is $180,000 – $210,000, based on location and experience.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Plan, design and build the core infrastructure systems used by Jack Henry's development and engineering teams

  • Debug critical production infrastructure issues that may impact multiple sites and services

  • Focus on site state and health with the discipline that allows us to easily and automatically move workloads to avoid failure

  • Work with engineering teams to understand their priorities and emerging needs to prioritize solutions that keep pace with product development

    What you’ll need to have:

  • Understanding and practical experience in declarative service infrastructure environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Istio, IdaC, GCP)

  • Experience implementing and scaling relational databases, in-memory data structure stores and streaming data pipelines. (e.g., AlloyDB, Memorystore, Pub/Sub)

  • Depth in Network Engineering to understand connectivity at enterprise scale. (e.g., BGP, DMVPN, CNF, service mesh)

  • Minimum of 10 years across software development and/or cloud infrastructure.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% to attend JH meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

    What would be nice for you to have:

  • Ability to write high quality code in an infrastructure driven language. (e.g., Go, Python, etc.)

  • Deep experience operating in a Unix shell

  • Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment

  • Experience integrating with managed logging platforms, time series metric databases, or distributed tracing infrastructure (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Honeycomb)

  • Familiarity with SAFe
