Sigma Defense is seeking a senior-level Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate is someone who has a fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and or finance and budgeting. We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail, willingness to learn new concepts, and have regular verbal communications with project managers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience in finance or budgeting.

  • Microsoft Suite experience with strong skillset in Excel.

  • Jamis Prime and Power BI experience is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Project billing.

  • Project accounting and financial analysis.

  • Subcontractor invoicing management.

  • Revenue analysis.

  • Project setup and management.

  • Communications and coordination with PMs and Contracts.

  • Coordination and record keeping for tax activities with partner organizations.

  • Creation and maintenance of control and work instruction level process documentation.

  • Reconciliation and maintenance of schedules supporting balance sheet accounts.

  • Review and reconciliation of indirect expense accounts.

  • Participation in budget tracking and variance analysis.

  • Review and reconciliation of payroll and benefits accounts.

  • Participation in process improvement initiatives for accounting functions.

  • Organization and analysis of service contracts ensuring optimal service and value with no redundancy.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 annually.
