Situation Group Software and DevOps Architect in United States
The Studio at Situation Group crafts award-winning work for the world’s leading entertainment, education and mission-driven brands. The Studio seeks a Software and DevOps Architect to oversee technical projects, cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes. The selected candidate will demonstrate strategic problem solving, a passion for learning new skills and technologies, empathy and grace under pressure and a fanatical attention to detail and thoroughness.
What You’ll Do
This role will report to the Director of Web Development and will have a dual scope of responsibilities:
Lead technical execution of client projects and tasks involving custom software or integrations, including an e-commerce ticketing web application
Lead maintenance and improvement on our development tooling and pipelines, as well as working closely with our hosting partner on cloud infrastructure provisioning, integration and maintenance.
This role is fully remote, but candidates must live and work in a North American time zone to qualify.
Sample Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop new e-commerce ticketing features and enhancements
Integrate with with 3rd-party ticketing, CRM and other systems
Oversee software automated testing suites, releases and production error monitoring
Optimize database, media delivery, caching and other performance-related processes
Maintain and improve our local development tooling, documentation and distribution
Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines and related automated processes.
Ensure consistent configurations across all servers and cloud infrastructure
Ensure proper integration and authentication between CI/CD pipelines and servers
Move towards more automated cloud provisioning and maintenance solutions
Prepare for events requiring cloud resource scaling and additional provisioning
Requirements
10+ years of software development experience
10+ years of DevOps experience
5+ years experience with REST API and e-commerce integrations
5+ years experience with CI/CD tools and processes
5+ years experience with dependency management and build tools
Fluent in software design principles and patterns
Fluent in automated testing principles and practices
Strong understanding of Git usage and workflows
Demonstrated success defining and launching world class, public-facing technology projects
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary range: $125,000 - $145,000, commensurate with experience
