We seek a highly skilled and motivatedSenior Technical Product Ownerto join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our development teams to ensure the security of our software solutions. You will partner with the product and engineering managers to lead and execute the Symitar Customization deliveries for the Symitar core platforms.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Leads stakeholder meetings and encourages innovative ideas from agile team members and stakeholders

  • Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences their product backlog based on business value or ROI.

  • Creates user stories and acceptance criteria based on the Voice of the Customer (VOC) that are granular enough for a single sprint.

  • Prioritizes user stories and defects/bugs to seed a sprint’s backlog based on the highest business value.

  • Participates in organizational backlog prioritization, sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups, demos/reviews, retrospectives, product backlog refinements, and other Scrum-related ceremonies.

  • Develops and maintains standards for progress visibility and their team’s ‘definition of done’ for all tasks.

  • Coordinates beta testing of new products and features, as well as seeds backlog with recommended improvements.

  • Collaborates with the team’s Scrum Master to build a self-organized team.

  • Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities.

  • Performs independent research to prepare for product and industry trends.

  • Assists less experienced peers.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

    What you'll need to have:

  • 10 years of as a Product Owner, with a background in the financial software industry.  

  • Experience in agile development and using agile tools.

  • Experience managing 1-2 backlogs for sustaining and strategic products

  • Knowledge of FinTech trends and practices.

  • Experience in Java, SQL, C, Python, or other relevant languages.

  • Experience working with databases

  • Comfortable working with databases and web applications.

    What would be nice for you to have:

  • Excellent communication skills that allow interaction with both business and technical audiences.

  • Experience working with customers to define requirements.

  • Ability to drive multiple initiatives in parallel.

  • Comfortable working with databases and web applications.

  • Previous experience working at or collaborating with a Credit Union

  • Lead products through their end-of-lifecycle processes.

  • Oversee multiple sustaining and strategic initiatives while meeting deadlines.

  • Successfully release products to market

  • Managing the completion of projects/programs that require coordinating with different parts of the organization.

  • Experience in a software modernization effort, implementing new cloud-based architectures and technologies.
