Aeroseal R&D Application Technician in United States

R&D TECHNICIAN/APPLICATION TECHNICIAN

The Role

As an R&D Technician you will be responsible for building new products involving electromechanical, instrumentation and computer components. The ideal candidate would be one who enjoys being hands on with tools and materials and is able to figure out a build path to go from concept stage sketches to prototype.

The Technician will be required to travel to customer sites and test new product concepts, record results and help improve the process or product. Travel will be in spurts and up to 20 percent of the time.

At launch, the technician will need to train the trainers, help with user instructions and provide on-site training.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build prototypes, carry out testing of new designs in the lab and field, tweak designs before production launch.

  • Conduct experiments and trials in the lab for new / changed designs.

  • Maintain a systematic log of readings & experiments for analysis.

  • Help maintain / Update BOMs, specification documentation during the development of product.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Familiar with use and integrating computers, electronic equipment with mechanical / electrical components.

  • Be very hands on with tools to build prototypes.

  • Technical trade (Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC experience preferred).

  • Well organized and have an attention detail.

  • Detail oriented and complete requisite paperwork documentation.

  • 2-year degree

  • Ability to interface with customers and homeowners.

  • Ability to independently run their own tests.
