GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This contract position will perform a full range of complex and difficult assignments, using
independent judgment and limited direction support the Division of Healthcare Financing projects and programs.
This position is an At-Will Employment Contract (AWEC) with a single Health Insurance plan. This position pays for actual hours worked and is limited to 40 hours per week. This position does not include paid vacation time, paid sick time, paid holidays, family health insurance, retirement, or other benefits. These items are not negotiable by the hiring manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Provide customer service to the public, clients, and staff, and act as a resource to co-workers, customers, and/or clients.
Assist with Medicaid eligibility processing
Maintain records, developed reports, and verify the accuracy of data.
Develop educational and outreach materials for the public as well as internal and external divisions and agencies.
Collect and organize data to contribute to the successful monitoring of programs and successful completion of special projects.
Assist staff as needed to ensure timely completion of day-to-day activities as well as special projects.
Assist in coordination between other agencies and units including other sections within the Department of Health.
Review and add eligibility to the BMS for clients on Presumptive Eligibility.
Ensure State Supplemental payments are processed for the correct clients.
Resolve State Supplemental payment rejects, request replacement payments, and process verification requests.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to applicants with an associate's degree in Business, Human Services, or Computer Technology.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of state and federal government functions, procedures, and concepts.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications.
Skill in interpersonal relations, oral and written communication skills; accuracy, and attention to detail.
Skill in organization and planning.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
Skill and ability to work independently

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
