Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Product Development Technical Support Coordinator to work in our Engineering & Product Development department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Specific Manufacturing Capabilities facility with every Friday off.

In this position you will report to the manager for Engineering & Product Development. You will plan, conduct, and direct project activities for work scope required to support SMC mission. You will provide technical input to support procurement activities of engineered deliverables of hardware and materials for SMC production and R&D activities. As well as provide technical specification input, review, and approval. Technical input for Statements of Work and/or Specifications shall be used for placement and management of design/build and contracts.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor and optimize process control for production operations.

  • Develop and incorporate new process improvements into production. Update product and materials specifications as required.

  • Act as TPOC for product related procurements. Identify, test and implement production efficiency and cost savings initiatives.

  • Ensure SMC development activities are with-in 'the capability of the Abrams/lNL/SMC resources.

  • Provide technical direction on proposals and strategic business ventures to ensure the work is being executed correctly and timely.

  • Requires the exercise of independent judgment and understanding of Engineering/SMC/BEA requirements and priorities.

  • Mentor and coach SMC employees on Engineering/SMC/BEA requirements and priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 2: Baccalaureate & 2 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree & 1 years of relevant experience. High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of applicable manufacturing experience related to metal fabrication, welding or machining may be substituted in lieu of a baccalaureate degree.

  • Level 3: Baccalaureate & 5 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree & 3 years of relevant experience. High School diploma or GED and thirteen (13) years of applicable manufacturing experience related to metal fabrication, welding or machining may be substituted in lieu of a baccalaureate degree.

  • Experience working on SECRET level classified projects is preferred.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information:

  • The pay range for this position is: Level 2 - ($63,528 - $130,284) / Level 3 - ($75,804 - $155,496). At Idaho National Laboratory, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
