This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.
How You Will Make an Impact
As the Process Engineer Intern, you will have an incredible opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing business in a highly visible individual contributor position, whose primary responsibility is process improvement, maintain equipment, increase production without sacrificing quality and safety.
This position is open to entering their Junior or Senior terms.
There may be opportunities for a full-time position post-graduation for high performers interested in a such a role. Of course, students who have already accepted another role post-graduation should not expect an offer for immediate post-graduation employment at Atlas. Such students may be offered a position on a delayed-start basis, should such an arrangement be of interest and feasible with the student’s immediate post-graduation employer.
Responsibilities:
Support the Operations Team with projects, scheduling, data analysis, and other assigned tasks
Gain hands-on experience with remote process operations for two manufacturing sites
Assist in updating and maintaining standard operating procedures and guidelines
Initiate and contribute to process improvement projects
Minimum Qualifications
Currently a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Industrial Process Improvement)
Willingness to occasionally work a 12-hour shift for training or as backup support (Day/Night shift)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
