Reporting into the Senior Director, Market Access, Policy, and Advocacy, the National Account Executive (NAE) position requires an experienced account management professional who will help the company meet key patient access and product performance objectives. The ideal candidate will effectively direct trade and channel engagement strategies to appropriately enable profitable channel strategies for ITCI’s products across the U.S. distribution system. This National Account Executive role will have direct accountability for McKesson, Cardinal, Cencora (Amerisource Bergen), key regional wholesalers, select pharmacy chains, and business development engagement with Digital Pharmacy Solutions. The NAE must be able to apply sound business principles in supporting the business requirements for company products with clinical value excellence and financial discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the development of optimal channel strategies for in-line, launch, and pipeline products, with a focus on Gross to Net impact, supply chain efficiency, and pharmacy patient service programs

  • Lead ITCI’s Business to Business (B2B) relationship and implement opportunities with wholesalers, key pharmacy chains, and select channel accounts who are defined to support quality access for CAPLYTA and the future pipeline portfolio of ITCI products.

  • Cultivate senior-level relationships with significant trade, pharmacy, and other stakeholders, gathering insights to inform effective customer strategies.

  • Provide inputs into business case development and evaluation in collaboration with Sr. Director of Payer Operations and Payer Strategy to support negotiation strategy and recommendations to ITCI Pricing Committee.

  • Direct the necessary company resources to support supply chain efficiencies across all supply chain channels, including lowering DSA fees and collaborating with pharmacies to provide better patient service.

  • Work closely with the trade operation team to identify and resolve pipeline inventory stocking issues and any pharmacy prescription dispensing issues.

  • Support sales team on pipeline inventory stocking and prescription dispensing issues

  • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance in support of NAE engagement with trade, wholesale, pharmacy, and other channel accounts.

  • Assess and evaluate macro trends in the healthcare environment to inform trade channel and patient service strategy.

  • Complete all company-based and job-related training as assigned by ITCI within the required timeline.

Expanded Responsibilities:

  • Assume special projects as assigned to support strategic planning efforts and or team related and or company-wide functions requiring Market Access representation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, MBA preferred

  • National trade, wholesale, and/or pharmacy account contract negotiation experience required

  • 10+ years of US pharmaceutical market access experience is required with a minimum of 5 years in specific customer B2B leadership engagement experience

  • CNS experience is preferred

  • Launch experience with newly marketed products or new indications preferred

  • Deep experience in translating channel customer insights into impactful business strategies & tactical plans

  • A demonstrated track record of personal and professional ethics and compliance with industry laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning for, and executing channel and supply chain customer and pull-through strategies in support of the brand payer marketing strategic priorities

  • Strong knowledge of analytics tools and understanding of the latest trends & best practices negotiating large payer B2B financial arrangements as required.

  • Excellent listening, presentation, writing, editing, and communication skills with ability to present to senior management when needed, i.e., Pricing Committee, Sales Leadership business updates, issues management strategy sessions.

National Account Executive - Trade & Accounts: Base Salary Range $184,000 - $260,000
