Why this job matters

As a self-motivated Account Manager, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers at all levels. You will understand your customers' business goals and priorities and have a solid knowledge of BT’s portfolio. As a key member of the account team, you will be responsible for forecasting, identifying, and converting sales opportunities into new contracts.

Your sales portfolio will include a range of areas, from managed solutions and CPE to professional services. You will need skills in sales support, costing and pricing, customer negotiation, and customer relationship management. As a proactive Account Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for customers, developing long-term relationships. You will be responsible for meeting personal revenue targets, closing contracts, and collaborating with colleagues and specialists to meet customer needs.

What you’ll be doing

•Understandcustomer needs and match solutions to their requirements.

• Handle higher value or complex opportunities, such as bundling products, in addition to traditional business opportunities.

•Responsiblefor outbound sales prospecting and identifying opportunities.

• Quickly build effective relationships with senior decision-makers.

• Maintain a wide network within the business and conduct senior presentations.

• Support other account managers as needed.

• Drive business growth for BT by closing contracts and monitoring margins as part of the account team.

• Identify and capitalize on opportunities for business growth.

• Meet personal revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals.

• Provide accurate and timely forecasting using Salesforce.

• Ensure contacts and opportunities are correctly logged in Salesforce.

The skills you’ll need

• Telco experience

• Proven sales experience

• Strong relationship management skills

• Effective stakeholder management

• Experience in customer satisfaction

• Relevant experience in hybrid-based selling and multi-product strategy delivery.

• Organised, resilient, with strong outbound calling skills to identify and close opportunities.

• Successful track record of meeting revenue and margin targets.

• Good knowledge of low to medium complexity products and services in core business areas.

• Understanding of the telecom market and competitive landscape
