Friends University FY25 - Student Worker - Chapel Assistant in United States

Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning up chapel days, organizing and recruiting chapel hosts, coordinating all elements of the chapel experience including slides, streaming team, prayers, announcements, and assisting with outside speakers. Additional administative tasks may be assigned during office hours.

Organization: Ability to manage logistics, schedules, and resources efficiently to ensure smooth chapel operations.

Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to interact with chapel leaders, speakers, musicians, and attendees.

Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of chapel services, including setup, audiovisual equipment, and materials, are properly prepared and executed.

Teamwork: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other chapel assistants, volunteers, and staff members to achieve common goals.

Flexibility: Adaptability to handle unexpected situations or last-minute changes during chapel services with grace and composure.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact warmly and respectfully with diverse individuals and demonstrate empathy and compassion towards others.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with audiovisual equipment, sound systems, and other technical tools commonly used in chapel settings may be beneficial.

Reliability: Dependability and punctuality to fulfill assigned responsibilities and commitments consistently.

Required availability is from 10am-12:30pm every Thursday that there is a chapel service.
