Sartorius Field Application Specialist Microbiology & Lab Filtration in United States
We are looking for a Field Application Specialist Microbiology and Lab Filtration to join our application specialist team.
Do you have laboratory experience in microbiology, sterility testing or filtration/purification? Are you looking to leave the lab and use your scientific knowledge and strong communication skills in a commercial role?
We are looking for a Field Application Specialist to join the Application Specialists Team to provide technical support and advice to a range of clients across the biopharma and academia markets, ensuring that we maintain strong customer relationships and provide the best possible service. Your remit will cover Microbial Air Monitoring, Microbial Enumeration, Sterility Testing (classic testing and rapid qPCR tests), laboratory filtration and ultrafiltration and purification systems.
Your territory will cover UK, Ireland and Nordics region, so up to 60% travel will be required in this role, which is home – based. You would ideally be located close to an international airport and preferably live close by the Golden Triangle, Oxford, London or Cambridge, as the largest customers are in this area.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
Offering product expertise, application knowledge and technical support to customers in microbiology and lab filtration products
Preparing and conducting technical presentations, demonstrations, hands-on trainings, trials and troubleshooting expertise to customers
Closely collaborate with the Field Sales, Virtual Sales and Marketing teams to identify new business opportunities, specify customer requirements and support of closing of deals
Participate in Marketing activities, such as new product launches.
Providing feedback internally on market requirements, competitors and customer needs
Proactively engaging with existing customers to identify training needs
Managing your own time to set your own work schedule
What will convince us
Minimum Bachelors’ degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology or related discipline
Previous laboratory experience in quality control laboratory in a GMP/GLP environment related to microbial activities
Customer or client facing experience would be beneficial
Experience in training others would be beneficial
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly organised and capable of planning own schedule
Team player, able to interact with people across different functions internationally, whilst being comfortable working independently
Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve technical issues
Demonstrate the ability to present data, findings, and recommendations to customers
Willingness to travel
