Position Overview
The Business Data Analyst applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend, and communicate timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.
The Business Data Analyst is accountable for the design, development, and management of the business data ecosystem, including managing analytic data platforms, designing and implementing reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.
Accountabilities
Design, development and management of the RQIP business data ecosystem including mapping data from various sources and creating reporting and visualizations to be used to drive business objectives.
Perform moderately complex statistical analysis and present findings to guide, influence and advise leadership and other stakeholders.
Works cross-functionally to gather, refine, and validate stakeholder requirements and develops solutions to meet the needs of end users.
Maintains continuous knowledge of key business systems and processes and makes recommendations based on data and analytical requirements.
Collaborates with program development, infrastructure, and portfolio analytics teams to establish data requirements for qualitative and quantitative data across the organization.
Collaborate with identified stakeholders in partner organizations to explore and meet the needs of cross-organization data requirements.
Utilize technical skills (i.e. data analysis software) to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data for meaningful insights.
Required Skills and Competencies
Master’s degree in information science (MSIS), data science, business analytics, or related field
Strong experience in building ETL framework
At least five (5) years of relevant experience
Experience working with data-driven outcomes (i.e., design, collection, and analysis for meaningful insights)
Knowledge of measurement and evaluation best practices (i.e., of collection methods and statistical analysis)
Proficient in the use of qualitative and quantitative data analysis software
Working knowledge of Salesforce, data warehouse and data lakes
Good SQL skills to perform Data Analysis and Data Exploration
Experience in Tableau or PowerBI is highly desired
Exhibits excellent organizational skills and self-motivation while working independently and in a team setting
Communicates clearly and professionally at multiple levels and with diverse audience
Self-starter who is well-organized and can lead projects from start to finish
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $85,000 to $90,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
