We are seeking a dynamic, innovative Financial Business Manager to join our team. The Financial Business Manager’s primary role will be building financial strategies and reports for the verticals within Public Sector.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Manager to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, remote, and is a salaried position.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze the Tolls & Transportation and Health and Human Services accounts to assess the verticals' overall financial health

  • Maintain and communicate overall vertical portfolio financials

  • Prepare regular business activity reports and forecasts

  • Generate financial data, compile, and submit reports, and analyze industry trends

  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations

  • Track accounts performance metrics, such as revenue, client satisfaction, and retention rates

  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Create strategic business plans by analyzing the verticals’ status and financial forecasts

  • Prepare regular reports for management forecasting trends for emerging and established accounts.

  • Connect with key business executives and stakeholders on emerging needs and opportunities

  • Engage key stakeholders early in the bid solicitation life cycle

  • Collaborate effectively with the Business Development Team as a subject matter expert on new business proposal opportunities when requested

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., Business Development Team, T&T vertical, and HHS vertical Subject Matter Experts (SME)) to understand the direction for each proposal

  • Work with the Opportunity Developer to build cost models for bid solicitations

  • Coordinate efforts to deliver exceptional service and resolve any issues promptly

What You'll Need

  • Time Management, a bility to manage your time effectively under the pressure of tight deadlines while balancing multiple priorities

  • Communication, must be able to listen and process information others provide effectively. Strong written and verbal skills are required

  • Interpersonal, demonstrate friendliness, courtesy, understanding, and politeness to others

  • Problem Solving, able to identify, evaluate, and use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternative actions and make recommendations accordingly

  • 4+ years’ experience developing financial assessments, plans, or managing account portfolios

  • Experience managing and prioritizing account portfolios and working seamlessly with various stakeholders in a matrix organization

  • Expert knowledge and practical application experience with Microsoft Excel is required

  • Advanced knowledge and practical application experience with Microsoft tools suite (i.e., Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Prior knowledge or experience working in or with public sector government is a plus (i.e., local, state, and federal government agencies)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
