Job Description
Responsibilities: AWS Cloud Engineering and Design:
Collaborate with the team on AWS cloud design patterns, focusing on AWS Control Tower expertise.
Contribute to a culture of best practices and knowledge sharing within the Cloud Practice, emphasizing the use of AWS Landing Zones and centralized management for consistent governance.
AWS Cloud Platform Implementation:
Design, engineer, and deliver advanced hybrid cloud platforms using AWS services such as Amazon VPC, Amazon EKS, and AWS Fargate.
Embrace an automation-first approach, utilizing AWS-native, CDK, and Python infrastructure-as-code technologies to ensure centralized control and governance over deployment processes.
Solution Quality and Security:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality AWS cloud solutions, prioritizing security, instrumentation, and extensibility specific to AWS.
Uphold AWS-specific standards and Well-Architected best practices for design, engineering changes, cost optimization, and configuration management.
Infrastructure and Operations:
Provide integrations with corporate data centers and shared AWS cloud infrastructure services.
Engineer and continually enhance AWS-specific infrastructure stacks, templates, images, and other artifacts.
Service Design, Automation, and Deployment:
Translate service requirements into AWS-specific service models (templates) and workflows for automatic provisioning.
Implement and automate AWS-specific security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
Control Frameworks and Compliance:
Implement and maintain control frameworks such as HIPAA, HITrust, and PCI to ensure the highest level of security and compliance in AWS cloud solutions.
Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure AWS cloud services meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
5 – 7 years of experience with infrastructure and cloud technologies, with a minimum of 3 years in AWS cloud architecture and design, including AWS Control Tower experience.
Deep knowledge of AWS services, infrastructure as code, and automation tools, including CDK and Python.
Excellent understanding of security, compliance, and governance in AWS, including AWS Config and AWS Security Hub.
Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset with experience in AWS Well-Architected frameworks.
