About the role and what you’ll be doing:

Reporting to and supported by the Management Accountant, the Associate Accountant will administer key inputs to the monthly management accounts and support the annual statutory audit. The role will support the EMEA accounting team in preparation and review of the monthly management accounts including but not limited to revenue recognition, monthly journals, variance analysis with commentary, and reconciliations.
Key Areas of Focus for this Role
Producing monthly revenue figures in line with FRS102 / US GAAP, offering insight into revenue value and timing from sales contracts
Understand and administer accruals and prepayments
Attend unbilled revenue meetings with the EMEA billing team and other finance & business stakeholders to support activities for improving cash collections and billing cycles.
Supporting the preparation of management account packs, including insights into performance against forecasts, budgets, prior month and target drivers of variance
Ensuring that all general ledger accounts are reconciled on a timely basis
Assist in the production of balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Assist with the production of year-end accounts for Ensono group companies
Support with the group and statutory audits, providing high quality outputs
Ensuring activities are completed on timely basis to meet reporting deadlines
Collaborating with the wider finance team to streamline and automate processes
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the business
Complete ad hoc requests to support the business as and when they arise

Your experience and skills:
Studying or strong desire to study towards professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Excellent communication skills
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, showing curiosity and a desire to learn
Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment
Good time management and prioritisation skills
Ability to build solid working relationships, working both independently and as part of a team
Experience / knowledge on preparation of management accounts for month end is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of Workday or MS ERP desirable
