Oracle Senior Consultant (Java, OOP, OUAF) in Philippines

Job Description

Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Designer

  • 5 or more years of experience relevant to this position. Practice focus in IT consulting, systems development, offshore services is preferred.

  • Applied experience in Java, Groovy, or object-oriented technical design and development

  • Experience in Oracle Energy & Water products, the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), or similar applications is an advantage (e.g. Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M), Customer Cloud Service (CCS), Meter Data Management (MDM))

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to build rapport with team members and clients

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed technical design specifications from high level design specifications.

  • Conduct and participate in design walkthroughs with architects, designers, developers, and possibly customers. Facilitate the clarification of design issues as they arise during the development process.

  • Convert Technical Design specifications into high quality working code within agreed budgets and time frames.

  • Ensure the quality of one’s own and/or a project team’s deliverables through adherence to project standards and methodologies. Perform quality assurance reviews of the work of a development team.

  • Prepare unit test documentation of scenarios/test cases. Perform unit testing of programs according to defined process and document actual results.

  • Drive a project team's release activities and the review/sign-off of release deliverables, including execution of verification testing.

  • Provide team leadership, coaching, and mentoring of junior developers and designers.
