How You'll Help Us Connect the World
As a Field Application Engineer at CommScope, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our leadership position in customer support for fiber optic cable, network connectivity, and other products and services for the Service Provider marketplace. You'll be the go-to person for providing training and support to our customer base while also assisting the field sales team with rapid and thorough complaint resolution and technical support. This position also gives you the opportunity to identify and propose new product concepts to meet evolving customer needs. Be prepared for extensive travel with the territory of FL, GA, AL, and MS as part of your role.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Five or more years of telecommunication experience
Experience with fiber optic cable and connectivity products
Able to proceed with considerable freedom and conduct own projects, making evaluations and providing recommendations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and digital literacy, including PowerPoint.
Ability to travel upwards of 50% in normal circumstances.
Able to work occasionally in extreme outdoor environments.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
SAP experience
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical subject area
Live in the territory (AL, FL GA, MS) Georgia and Florida prferred
Two or more years of progressive technical product experience; internships may qualify.
Able to function independently and exercise judgment to react to situations in a timely manner.
A high degree of integrity due to exposure to sensitive sales data and strategic product plans.
Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a proven history of successful performance. The expected total compensation range for this position (Base plus sales incentive plan) is $112,500- $225,100.
The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
