As Mechanical Engineering Manager you will lead a team of talented mechanical engineers developing a state-of-the-art wireless patient monitoring system and medical parameters. This role includes people leadership, continuous development, project responsibilities and collaboration with internal and external parties.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Attract and mentor a team of talented mechanical engineers supporting their personal growth

  • Foster a culture of ownership, common goals, collaboration, and delivering according to schedule

  • Align team contributions to programs and organization priorities

  • Work with experts to create technical solutions and roadmaps aligned with customer needs

  • Collaborate with internal/external partners in early stage technology development

  • Drive excellence through continuous improvements in ways of working, processes, and tools

  • Drive project execution in terms of schedule and quality

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master's level education in mechanical engineering, medical technology or equivalent.

  • Several years of experience in the Engineering/Technology related NPI work

  • Ability to inspire, set clear expectations, coach, and build a positive and inclusive team culture

  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, and EU work permit

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technology teams and projects.

  • Experience in hiring and developing top talent in highly effective engineering teams

  • Experience in leading mechanical design work in complex designs within regulated industry (medical, automotive, military)

  • Experience in project managemental tasks, ability to drive project schedule and execution
