Are you a driven and motivated Maintenance expert looking for a role with continued learning and growth opportunities in the exciting industry of Consumer Healthcare? As Maintenance Technician in our Maintenance & Engineering team, you will be joining a collaborative environment where no day is the same. Your role is to ensure planned preventive and predictive maintenance tasks are completed according to the maintenance schedule and production schedule, in accordance with Australian and Industry standards, GMP Code and HSE procedures and practices. The position will be based on a monthly shift rotation. 3 weeks of day shift from 6am to 2pm, then 1 week of afternoon shift from 2pm to 10pm. Some Weekend O/T may be required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance on services throughout the plant

  • Contribute to team effectiveness through participation and cooperation.

  • Respond to site maintenance requests and equipment failure according to priority set by urgency and importance.

  • Action requests for unplanned improvement work completed in accordance with agreed plans and timeframes.

  • Support line operators with machine set up, running adjustments, advice and guidance

  • Involvement in introduction, commissioning and validation of equipment is conducted as required

  • Assist with design and manufacture of any new process improvements

  • Involvement in site lean initiatives

About you

Qualifications:

  • Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitter/Machinist with a minimum of Certificate III or above

  • Restricted Electrical licence is desirable

Experience :

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment

  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Knowledge of general maintenance process and methods

  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis techniques, as well as CI methodologies, including; 5S and LEAN is desirable

Soft and Technical Skills:

  • Ambition to progress with the company (eg; into a management role)

  • Stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Be extremely well planned and organised, able to plan ahead, reliable and diligent in all areas of work
