Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable Loader /Excavator Operator to join our local team. As a Loader /Excavator Operator you will support plant needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment. In this position, you will have the opportunity to use different skills every day as you learn the aggregate industry and fill in for vacancies in various areas of our plant.

What You'll Get To Do Operate Loader/ Excavator in open mine
Load haul trucks
Bail material and stockpile
Maintain haul roads
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.
What We Are Looking For
High school diploma or GED required
3 yrs experience operating Loaders and Excavators (WA-600 and Cat 354)
Previous experience in an open pit mine is an asset
Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Capable of learning through on the job training
Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
