Position Information:Job Title: Supervisor - Dispatch & ECCLOCATION: Vestal, NYSalary Range: $114,300 - $142,900Work Type: On Site - OfficeJOB SUMMARY:Directs and supervises employees responsible for training of Transmission and Distribution Operators of the Company's Electric Control Center and Gas Emergency Control Center, which may include the dispatch of field operations crews in response to customer trouble and emergency calls.MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Developing overall electric ECC training strategy, including both transmission and distribution training:Ensure all ECC training compliance requirements are met per regulatory requirements.Oversight of all Initial Operator Training Programs for new hire QualificationOversight of Continuing Education Programs for ongoing professional development of Qualified personnelSupport Centralized Operations project - specifically training of new Distribution Operators.Planning and execution of all ECC training activities.Line management responsibility for ECC technical trainers.Management of ECC training contractors.Support local ECC teams on technical/compliance-related issues - provide technical guidance and expertise to employees engaged in the operation of the electric systemProvide direction and assistance to operations staff during electric system emergencies.Coordinate with operations management to Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes and procedures.Represent the company on interdepartmental/regulatory committees and perform other duties as required.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education & Experience Required:Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred; ORAssociate's Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience required.Knowledge of the characteristics and operation of both gas and electric systems.Knowledge of customer service procedures is desirable.Certifications:NERC Certification as appropriate.Skills/Abilities:Results oriented and proactive.Strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.Able to make operational decisions under pressure.Able to take on special projects.Demonstrated administrative and decision-making abilities.#LI-Onsite; #LI-CH1Company:NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORPMobility InformationPlease note that any applicant who is not a citizen of the country of the vacancy will be subject to compliance with the applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that countryAVANGRID's employment practices and policies are geared to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
