As the Senior Procurement Specialist (Buyer), you will be the primary point of contact for a key supplier within the electronics commodity, managing schedules and purchase orders to guarantee timely, cost-effective, and quality deliveries. Your role will involve direct engagement with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, meticulous record-keeping of procurement activities, and constant monitoring of contract performance to ensure compliance. What YOU Will Do:
Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within the electronics commodity
Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family
Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities
Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, program execution
Prepares purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly
Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction
Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services
Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries
Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met
Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
And other related duties as needed per direction from leadership

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
Project coordination / management experience
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Proficient in MS Office skills
Experience working in a cross-functional team, such as including members from operations/production, technical/engineering groups, finance departments, etc
Detail oriented with ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to become a go-to subject matter expert for transactional buyers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
