Description

The Senior Technician role involves a dynamic work schedule across multiple sites. The incumbent will oversee all Toll-related projects, encompassing a broad spectrum of tasks in the electrical, mechanical, and computer domains.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This senior level technical position is responsible for all toll related collection equipment maintenance and repair.

  • Utilizes vendor software and computer operating systems to calibrate diagnosis and troubleshoot all problems.

  • Works closely with Tolls IT staff on configuration, development, and troubleshooting of tolling systems on the Tolls network.

  • Perform preventive maintenance utilizing Tolls diagnostic resources and aerial bucket truck if needed.

  • Review Toll equipment device status information, program logs and run diagnostics.

  • Understanding and working with knowledge sharing practices along with training.

Education, Experience, Licensing

  • Requires any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from High School and four years of work experience in electrical, mechanical, or computer-related fields.

  • Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License permit and an acceptable driving record with the ability to obtain a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days of hire date is required.

  • Possession of an International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Technician Level I and II certifications OR have the ability to obtain certification within twelve (12) months of hire date.

  • This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Drug and Alcohol Workplace Testing as provided in DOT regulation CFR-Part 40.

Supplemental Information

  • Preference for candidates with experience in camera systems.

  • Proficiency in current Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Access) and adeptness in navigating computer systems are essential.

  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, climbing, walking, kneeling, sitting, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 100 lbs., under various weather conditions.

  • Regular work schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, 12:00 pm - 10:30 pm. On-call duty for up to 20 weeks annually, with weekend coverage required.
