Actalent Food Safety Manager in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota
Description:
This role is responsible for partnering with the operations and executive teams to implement and grow the Food Safety and Quality programs for their stores, bakeries, and fresh foods departments across the company. They will partner with a 3rd party consultant to take the FSQA outline currently under development.
Create a Food Safety culture by partnering with Production Management, Lead Baker, and Operations staff to implement HACCP and PCQI programs into operations.
Author and Document work instructions, recipe/batch records, trackability documentation for specifications, in process, and finish goods coming out of the commercial bakery.
Implement GMP level food safety handling protocols for sanitation, PPE, equipment calibration, and QC checks for the facility.
Build out a baseline environmental monitoring program, make recommendations for QC checks and structure to execute on that program.
Support continuous improvement projects for upgrading FSQA programs to achieve FDA and GFSI (Future State) compliance levels.
Perform internal audits and implement findings. Run point with 3rd party FDA, USDA, GFSI, and customer audits.
Establish employee training and development programs to execute n FSQA standards across all levels of the organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BA/BS in Sciences preferred
3-5 Years of Food Quality/Food Safety Experience supporting audits, implementing food safety programs/policies/procedures
Bakery and custom/specialty products experience strongly preferred.
