Summary:
Supporting the Supplier Quality Engineering team, this position will work with returned Vivint products and optimize the testing processes. This position will work closely with Supplier Quality to submit feedback to Vivint suppliers on trending defects and issues within the testing processes as well as optimizing processes to submit warranty claims. As a liaison between Supplier Quality Engineering and the returns processing department, this position has the main goal to optimize product test fixture results through root cause analysis and good communication.
Primary Responsibilities:
Optimize Product Test Fixtures
Reduce False Failures
Perform Time Studies on product testing processes
Update Work Instructions and SOPs for testing processes
Inspection Audits
Collect Representative Failure Samples
Update Fixture Maintenance Plan
Required Skills, Experience & Education:
Education track in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar
Root cause analysis
Data Analytics
Cross Functional Communication
Process optimization
Organization
Preferred Skills, Experience & Education:
Previous Internship experience
Experience reporting on metrics and progress
PCB manufacturing and electronics rework
Experience using product test fixtures: RF chambers, Bed of nails, etc
Experience with z-wave or other RF devices

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
