JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for people who share our drive to achieve excellence in everything we do. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting broker client data onboarding from disparate platforms. You will need to define processes for data-extraction, reconciliation, and identification as well as build automated mapping rules. As a data integration analyst, you will also work with internal client facing teams on broker/carrier analytics and reporting.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Support data setup work for broker onboarding

  • Define and implement ETL rules for how to load complex insurance data from insurance brokers’ systems into RiskMatch platform

  • Work with insurance broker subject matter experts to understand their data to support data loading activities

  • Reconcile and validate loaded data against broker’s financial reports

  • Analyze broker feed data for exposure data collection

  • Using SQL and Groovy, migrate and standardize insurance exposure data from broker feed or external data sources into the RiskMatch ODS and Application platform. Validate exposure data against broker supplied Acord Forms where applicable

  • Perform Data QA on loaded data prior to roll-out, report and resolve findings

  • Document and troubleshoot data issues, identify possible solutions, communicate and discuss with internal RiskMatch teams for resolution

  • Maintain data issues log by brokers and track resolution of issues

  • Perform data analysis by means of data interpretation, and execution of advanced database queries using Tableau, MySQL, Amazon Redshift, Excel, R, Python and other database technologies or programming languages as appropriate. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, or insights in result sets

  • Work independently, or in teams on complex level data gathering, checking, manipulation, analysis, reporting and data quality assurance tasks with minimal supervision

  • Develop analytical models for reporting and mining insights for business development activities using conventional or visualization tools

  • Educate broker clients about the functionality of the RiskMatch platform and the importance of data quality within their agency management system

  • Develop and document rules, integrity and consistency checks

  • Troubleshoot and recommend solutions to technical problems

  • As needed, support client reporting, or data extract work

  • Perform other duties as the company evolves

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • MySQL, Amazon Redshift SQL

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity with ETL processes

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work with external clients as required

Qualifications:

  • ETL and hands-on SQL experience required

  • Working knowledge of Excel required

  • Experience with interactive data visualization tool, e.g. Tableau, preferred

  • Experience with Groovy, or any other scripting language, preferred

  • Property & Casualty Insurance knowledge, preferred

  • Experience working with Agency Management Systems, preferred

  • Experience with Python, preferred
