Job Summary
Serves as the assistant and provides clerical support to the following positions in the Office of Extension and Outreach in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences: Associate & Assistant Directors Budget and Finance, and business office staff. Handles various reporting, reconciliation, and backup duties critical to successful operation of the Business Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
Travel Administrative Duties
Review and complete travel and P-Card expense reports in Chrome River in conjunction with other Travel Personnel.
Assist with oversight of student employees as needed.
Serve as backup to the Lead Travel OSA/OSS.
Support Duties
- As requested, answer Extension incoming phone calls and route accordingly.
- Maintains daily on-line calendar and informs Associate Directors of scheduled engagements.
- As directed, composes, and finalizes a variety of general, confidential, and sensitive documents representing departmental responsibilities and position on issues.
- Establishes and maintains existing paper and electronic confidential records and files.
- Performs related duties as assigned or identified by the Associate & Assistant Directors and the Business Operations Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Any one or combination totaling eighteen (18) months from the categories below:
College coursework in any curriculum as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
Associate\'s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including the use of computer systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Knowledgeable of clerical rules and guidelines appropriate for business and administrative correspondence and communications, including business letters and email.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to accomplish work in an accurate and timely fashion.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 0846 - Office Support Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible. The salary for this position is set by a collective bargaining agreement and the salary for the position is set at \$36,901.80.
