Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Credit Clerk who will be based in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. The Credit Clerk will be an integral part of our team, working in the Accounting industry. The role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The chosen candidate will also be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
Responsibilities:
• Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate customer credit records
• Addressing and resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Monitoring customer credit accounts consistently and taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments
• Coding monthly credit card bills to corresponding projects and ensuring the supporting receipts match the charges
• Reconciling bank statements meticulously
• Demonstrating a high level of comfort working with numbers
• Utilizing skills in MS Excel and NetSuite, with training provided for the latter
• Ensuring all tasks are completed with a high level of attention to detail
• Familiarizing and working with various accounting systems.
Requirements • Role requires proficiency in MS Excel and NetSuite
• Prior experience as an Accounting Clerk is not necessary, but could be beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in accounting or related field is a plus
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Professionalism and strong ethical conduct.
