JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Perform day-to-day financial transactions; report discrepancies Resolve issues for both internal and external customers; communicate with customers as needed, including explanation of policy and procedure; refer complex issues Prepare balance sheets and update financial spreadsheets Assist with the preparation of reports; compile data as directed; develop and run basic quires for reports Provide assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation Analyze budget estimates for completeness and accuracy for accounting reports Ensure timely reconciliations are completed for assigned ledger and clearing accounts; recommend adjustments and refer problems Diagnose and resolve issues with daily reports; direct payment posting and make adjustments as directed Provide advice to ensure budget adjustments are made in accordance with operational changes Assist with reviewing operating budgets to analyze trends Assist with collecting data for analysis and forecasting purposes Assist with seeking new ways to improve efficiency and increase profits May perform audit functions for unit; report audit findings to management May make purchases in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations; assist in periodic physical inventory; complete and maintain reports on inventory items
