The Vice President of Studio Production Technical Operations is responsible for overseeing Enterprise managed technology and operations services in support of NBCUniversal’s Film & Television production groups. The role will oversee technical and operational strategy, program delivery, and support for these business units, and serve as the engagement lead to key business executives and stakeholders across our divisions.

The Vice President will focus on enablement of production and post-production workflows as well as the evolution to cloud and other new technologies.  In addition, the role will oversee key enabling systems and processes in support of creative production.

In addition to providing tightly embedded, direct support for NBCU production business units, the Vice President will partner with key technical operations and engineering stakeholders to define an enterprise-wide architecture for our upstream production technologies, workflows, and metadata as part of a rapidly evolving, connected company-wide media supply chain.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Own business engagement across for all services and manage relationships with senior business leaders within production and post-production across the Film & TV Studios

  • Drive strategy, evaluate roadmaps, and execute cross-functional initiatives to optimize business workflows and enable transformation in alignment with company-wide supply chain initiatives

  • Execute a portfolio of key business programs and initiatives as the point person coordinating across and representing the NBCU Film and TV Studios Technical Operations division

  • Support yearly planning and budgeting process, share regular budget updates with financial transparency, and provide regular updates to technology and business leadership on operations and project status

  • Manage and lead a team of 5 employee resources along with contractors

  • Oversee portfolio of key business applications in partnership with the Enterprise Product and Enterprise Engineering organizations

  • Partner with various shared services groups across Technical Operations, Engineering, and Information Technology to drive maximum leveraging of enterprise capabilities and to ensure all initiatives have Governance checks and balances in place. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven operations and technology management experience, with a strong background in technical operations, software development, applications management, systems architecture, or IT operations

  • Proven experience managing Studio / TV / Film platforms and operations

  • Demonstrated expertise in production and post-production technologies and workflows

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
