Role Purpose:

NBCUniversal is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and highly efficient individual to work within the Marketing & Creative Partnerships Legal group handling all aspects of marketing and promotions matters for entertainment, sports, news and digital teams (with attorney oversight as necessary).

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various marketing and production agreements, including pitches, cost shares, live events, appearances, locations, permissions, equipment, and confidentiality agreements

  • Review, vet and clear on-air marketing and other creative materials

  • Research and evaluate marketing, promotions and production legal issues

  • Draft and review rules and related documentation for sweepstakes, contests and games

  • Create and update forms

  • Support others in the Marketing & Creative Partnerships Legal group, as needed

  • Maintain, enhance, and trouble-shoot internal SharePoint sites and automated legal processes

  • Manage and design PowerPoint presentations for internal marketing trainings

  • Leverage Microsoft Power Automate to streamline contract processes, automate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience working on a legal team

  • Basic understanding of legal terms and conditions

Desired Characteristics

  • Willingness to work late and on weekends on short notice, if necessary

  • Must maintain confidentiality of projects, legal and business information at all times

  • Experience drafting marketing, promotions and/or production agreements

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, and Power Automate a plus

  • Strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills

  • Good judgment and ability to work independently with all levels of company personnel and with outside parties

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information

  • Sound business judgment and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters, including appropriately prioritizing among them

  • Paralegal or comparable experience

  • Proven problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented team player, able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing business environment

  • Spanish-speaking skills highly desired, including skill in reviewing contracts involving Spanish-speaking parties, the ability to understand and interpret complex legal language in Spanish contracts , and conduct professional communications in Spanish

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
