Your Main Objective:
Leidos is looking for a Network Engineer part of the larger Network team responsible for leading projects crafting, implementing, and maintaining our global WAN/LAN network infrastructure. Dynamic, fast-changing and unpredictable defines our information technology team. The successful candidate will be a part of a team that provides support to multiple organizations from a central location, with no travel requirements. This is an exciting position that supports a mission critical program with high visibility and a proven track record.
What Sets You Apart:
The candidate should have experience with support of large-scale efforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of data networks. In addition to experience with common network devices (switches, routers, patch panels, etc.), the candidate will also have experience firewalls and/or security devices.
The role requires fifteen (15) years’ experience as a Network Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) additional years of experience in Network Engineering disciplines may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
This role will be responsible for the following:
Conduct complex network problem analysis; resolve complex network and telecommunications problems.
Research, recommend, and evaluate network performance, optimization, and security solutions.
Optimize end-to-end network system performance and traffic flow management.
Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through problem analysis and use of network performance analytic tools.
Assist system engineers and cross organizational teams to formulate solutions in response to mission requirements.
Design and verify network solutions to support requirements for routing protocols, policy based routing, traffic shaping, border gateway protocols, tunneling IP Security, network address translations, network security, firewall contexts, load-balancing, latency, data throughput, WAN acceleration, and monitoring.
Introduce and integrate new network and telecommunications technologies.
Provide guidance and leadership to Level 0-2 network engineers.
Verify and validate activities of Level 0-2 network engineers, ensure approved methods and procedures are followed.
The candidate must currently possess and maintain one of the following certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Professional – (CCNP) Routing and Switching
Cisco Certified Network Professional – (CCNP) Security
Must obtain certification prior to being accepted on contract.

Personnel must be fully cleared. To be considered fully cleared, personnel must have a favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the last seven (7) years and/or have been enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program. Eligible personnel also require a favorably adjudicated Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CSPG) within the last seven (7) years and must have completed a Full Scope Polygraph (FSPG) during the course of the applicant’s initial or continued final clearance processing.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
