We are seeking anEarly Head Start Teacherto work at one of our 4 centers located in Tuskegee and Macon County.

ROLE SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of classroom activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth and well-being of infant and toddler children. Creates a safe and nurturing environment in which 12-month-old through three-year-old children can enhance perceptual, motor and physical development, language and literacy skills, cognitive development, approaches to learning and social and emotional development and relationships, developing age-appropriate social and self-help skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent and a Child Development Accreditation (CDA) Infant-Toddler. Must have a minimum of (2) years experience working in early childhood education/infants and toddlers. Must have the ability to work with a culturally diverse group of individuals. Must meet criteria for background screening as required for childcare licensing and federal regulations.
HOW TO BE AN A+
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- 3+ years experience working in early childhood education/infants and toddlers.
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Worked for a Head Start program previously
