ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment of the client.
- Provides appropriate medication management of the client.
- Utilizes assessment data to support an ICD-10/DSM diagnosis.
- Demonstrates the ability to recognize the elements of a crisis state and knows how to de-escalate, resolve the situation or refer the client for appropriate level of care.
- Effectively collaborates with treatment team members and outside agencies in delivery of clinical services.
- Evaluates the client for discharge planning.
- Evaluates for side-effects of medication, particularly tardive dyskinesia and effectively addresses the problem.
- Practices appropriate standards of care.
- Effectively demonstrates the application of adult specific competencies.
- Adheres to professional code of ethics.
Supervision and Consultation:

Seeks clinical supervision and consultation as needed.

Accepts and employs suggestions for improvement.
3.
Actively works to enhance clinical skills.
Clinical Record Keeping:
