Duties: Engage in engineering activities for manufacturing of aerospace components and structures. Generate planning, work instructions, methods, and procedures for manufacturing processes. Provide material review board activities for disposition and rework of materials and products to ensure conformance to final engineering requirements. Evaluate metallurgical defects and material properties to enhance and ensure performance to engineering standards. Provide Level 3 Non-Destructive Testing technical support to operations at multiple sites in accordance with aerospace and customer standards. Develop technique sheets and supporting documentation and training for non-destructive testing personnel. Create, review, and approve technical Spanish-language planning documents and procedures for the LMI manufacturing facility in Mexicali, Mexico; audit compliance with the procedures based on documents and interviews in Spanish; serve as the Level III Nondestructive Testing (NDT) program administrator (remotely) for the Mexicali site, conducting business with personnel in Mexico in Spanish.
Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering or a related field plus 1 year of post-bachelor’s experience. Experience must include the following: Metallurgical Engineering; Magnetic Particle Inspection Methods; Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
Salary Range: $66,768 to $85,000 / Year.
