Canvas is seeking a Hypersonic Engineer/ Technical Translator provides engineering services and technical solutions for customers in federal and commercial markets. Duties:
- Technical translator to support multiple Japanese test entries across the United States Air Force Test Center (AFTC)
- Test planning, execution, and data analysis for hypersonic systems and related subsystems.
- Develop and implement test methodologies to assess hypersonic performance and system integration in hypersonic environments.
- Coordinate with program offices, contractors, and stakeholders to define test requirements and objectives.
- Conduct thermal and fluid-structure interaction analyses and apply advanced computational tools.
- Perform in-depth post-test data analysis, compiling technical reports and presenting findings to leadership and customers.
- Stay current with state-of-the-art hypersonic testing techniques and apply them to support mission success.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
- Japanese proficiency Level N2 or better
- Candidates must possess strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and /or similar simulation tools.
- Undergraduate experience in hypersonic systems development and testing (desired)
Security Clearance:
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
