Northwest Farm Credit Services Non Licensed Appraiser in Tulare, California

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of a Non Licensed Appraiser to join our Appraisal team in Tulare, California. Candidates located in near our Bakersfield, California or Hanford, California branch locations may be considered. This full-time position reports to the VP, Appraisal and serves our customers by conducting real estate appraisals, maintaining benchmarks, completing market surveys, and collecting and analyzing real estate sales information to support appraisals and asset valuation. This is an entry level position and future development in this position will require the individual be certified to appraise under existing state laws. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. Compensation Information The base salary for this position is: Level I (Non-Licensed): $69,000 - $105,000; bonus at target is 12% of salary Job Requirements Maintain comparable sales data, current improvement cost data, and other resource information required to prepare appraisals and report trends to management. Assist with appraisals of real property under the direction of a licensed appraiser. Confer with senior management, relationship managers, loan officers and credit analysts regarding complex appraisal and environmental issues. Ensure that all policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to as required. Communicate appropriate turnaround time relative to appraisal complexity with all team members. Effectively work with customers, other AgWest employees, and outside parties. This may involve traveling to farms or other locations to meet with customers. Recognize potential problems and solve or escalate accordingly. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree with emphasis on agriculture, agri-business, business administration or a related field Generally requires experience or coursework in real estate appraisal, with an emphasis on appraising agricultural producing properties Successful completion of Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures and 15-hour USPAP or equivalent within six months of hire Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with skills in Excel preferred Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred Requirements Experience of background in agriculture, common knowledge of ag practices and economics Knowledge of appraisal principles, techniques and organization procedures Knowledge of policies and procedures, loan programs, and financially related services within the Farm Credit System Experience using accounting software Benefits Offered by AgWest Medical, dental, and vision insurance Basic term life and AD&D insurance (fully paid for by the company) Paid days off annually: 15 vacation*, 15 sick, 11 holidays and 3 volunteer 401(k) plan (6% match plus 3% employer contribution) Employee Assistance Program Wellness Program Jeans are welcome at work every day at AgWest! *Vacation accrual rates increase with tenure.
