Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

  • Design sophisticated structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic infrastructures, tailored to meet client-specific needs.

  • Be aware of trends and solutions in the marketplace from Commscope, Corning, Panduit, and others.

  • Conduct thorough site surveys to ascertain client requirements and site conditions, ensuring designs are customized and optimized.

  • Develop and oversee documentation for all cabling architectures, including diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications.

  • Manage cabling projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and exceed quality standards.

  • Facilitate seamless communication between clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and excellence in delivery.

  • Perform quality assurance assessments and system testing to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of the cabling infrastructures.

  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting, ensuring superior system performance and client satisfaction.

  • Be experienced at scoping, pricing and developing job estimates.

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Information Technology, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in structured cabling systems design and implementation.

  • Expertise in industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI) and compliance with local building codes.

  • Proficient in Visio for rack elevations

  • Demonstrated project management skills, with a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion.

  • Certified in structured cabling or related disciplines (e.g., BICSI RCDD) is highly regarded.

  • Innovative thinker with the ability to integrate new technologies and methodologies into cabling solutions.

Note: "To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State."
