JOB SUMMARY

  • GMRE is currently recruiting for an Avionics Aircraft Technician. This position is day shift and may be eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards.
  • The Avionics Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and must possess knowledge of the electronic principles involved in a number of applications such as radar, data processing, navigation and data display.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance support on F-16 aircraft as an avionics technician in order to accomplish required follow-on operations.
  • Interprets and advises on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment.
  • Must have the ability to recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.

Requirements:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be knowledgeable of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems, concepts, and application of maintenance directives.
  • Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.
  • Possess the skill to remove and replace F-16 aircraft parts and accessories/components.
  • Have the skill to make adjustments and settings according to established Technical Data Specifications.
