Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. seeks a Product Support Specialist in its Tucson, Arizona location.

Duties: Provide specialized technical support to field application specialists and product support employees engaged in diagnosing and troubleshooting Roche diagnostic assays. Serve as the next tier of support in situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix an issue with a diagnostic assay. Assume full accountability for the management of individual cases (Inquiries, Complaints, PRI/PSIs) according to regulatory and ISO Quality system requirements and needs of the Country Organizations in a timely manner. Maintaining documentation for all support activities including product development, enhancement, engineering, and marketing activities. Ensure cases are auditable and well documented. Represent and communicate result of individual case/issue in interfacing meetings. Serve as the voice of the customer and as applications technical support in the development of new diagnostics assays, instruments and software. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on internal and operating companies policies and procedures relating to Roche tissue diagnostic products, provide training on cancer diagnostics products and Advanced Staining instruments for technical support employees. Development of training content for new diagnostics platforms and assays for technical support employees. Ensure training is updated according to the latest product/software versions launches. Coordinate and perform train the trainer certification process with the trainers from all affiliates. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Position requires up to 25% fully-reimbursed domestic and international travel.

Requirements: Bachelors degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in biology, biochemistry, or cardiology, and 1 year of technical support experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.

Position requires the following: Position requires 1 year of experience with each of the following: 1) Tissue diagnostic platforms; 2) Subject Matter Expert for IHC, Companion Diagnostics (HER-2, PD-L1 SP263, PD-L1 SP142, ALK, MMR panel, FOLR1); 3) Subject Matter Expert for in situ hybridization; 4) Developing advanced technical digital training; 5) Troubleshooting automated tissue diagnostic instruments from a system perspective (hardware, software, applications); 6) Experience launching new diagnostic products globally or regionally from a service support perspective.The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Arizona is \$89,640 to \$125,280 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
