Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling parts and attaching components and hardware using power or hand tools, testing devices, gauges, and other equipment to form complete units or sub-assemblies. The role involves placing finished products into point-of-sale packaging in accordance with production deadlines and sales goals under close supervision. The work involves a wide variety of operations with repetitive work cycles.
Responsibilities
Assemble assigned product parts on the assembly line in accordance with production guidelines.
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
Operate the laser machine when needed under close supervision.
Adhere to established company policies and procedures with special attention to safety regulations and quality control standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate effective and efficient manufacturing functions.
Read work orders and identify priorities to meet the production schedule.
Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines and company policies.
Verify contents being packed and select appropriate type and size of container for items per pre-determined instructions.
Use appropriate packing materials to avoid breakage or damage and apply shipping labels or identifying data on the outside of the package.
Keep accurate counts of products being packaged.
Ensure that correct contents are packaged appropriately and identified correctly on the outside of the package.
Adhere to manufacturing priorities as instructed by the supervisor and in accordance with the production schedule.
Perform inspections of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.
Essential Skills
Manual dexterity required.
Ability to sit or stand for 10-hour shifts.
Attention to detail.
Ability to check finished parts for conformance.
Ability to read work orders.
High school diploma or GED required.
No previous experience required – training provided.
Ability to speak and understand English.
Basic computer skills to print work orders.
Good written and oral communication skills preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Assembly/Production experience.
Ability to twist, reach, and bend.
Ability to function effectively with repetitive and routine work.
Correctable vision and hearing.
Ability to move through approximately 20,000 square foot building.
Light physical effort required to frequently and repetitively lift or move lightweight parts and materials.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands’ and arms’ length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Ability to exercise reasonable judgment.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
